Optimising IT has announced its expansion into London, with the opening of a new office in one of the capital’s most iconic buildings – The Gherkin.
From February 2026, Optimising IT will be operating from the 28th and 29th floors of 30 St Mary Axe, giving us a permanent base in the heart of the City of London, and bringing us much closer to the organisations we support across the capital.
A Presence In The Capital
London has always been an important part of our client base. Over the years, we’ve supported organisations across the city in sectors where reliability, security and clarity around IT matters.
That includes working with well-known London-based businesses such as Vivobarefoot, a global sustainable footwear brand operating at scale across e-commerce and retail, and Vanarama, a leading UK vehicle leasing company supporting businesses nationwide. Alongside these, we support organisations of varying sizes and sectors across the capital.
This expansion isn’t about scale for its own sake. It’s about being accessible, responsive and aligned with how our clients actually work.
Why London, and Why The Gherkin?
Located at 30 St Mary Axe, The Gherkin stands at the centre of London’s financial and commercial district. For Optimising IT, it offers a practical and well-connected base that reflects the organisations we work with, and the standards we set for ourselves.
Being based in the city places us closer to our clients, and makes collaboration easier – whether that’s in-person meetings, on-site support, or simply being present when it matters most.
A Values-Led Step
Optimising IT’s growth has always been guided by values rather than headlines. As a B Corp Certified business, we’re conscious of both how, and why, we expand.
Todd Gifford, Managing Director at Optimising IT, explains:
“As a business we are constantly evolving. We love working with other like minded business, and in particular fellow B Corps. Expansion into London with our new office is a clear next step for us, so we can engage directly with the biggest B Corp community in the country. We have a large number of customers in the city across E-Commerce, Financial Services, Legal, Accountancy and more, so this is a great next step for us.”
London’s strong B Corp community makes the move especially meaningful, reinforcing our commitment to ethical, responsible and sustainable business practices alongside dependable IT delivery.
What This Means for Businesses in London
For London-based organisations, the new office means Optimising IT is now closer – both geographically and operationally.
Clients can expect the same calm, considered approach to managed IT support, IT consultancy, cyber security, Microsoft 365 and cloud services, but now supported by a permanent London presence.
For clients outside London, nothing changes. This expansion strengthens the business as a whole and supports continued investment in our people, services and partnerships across the whole of the UK.
