Optimising IT Sponsors Exeter City FC Clash with Wrexham

We proudly sponsored the Sky Bet League Two game between Exeter City Football Club and Wrexham AFC on Saturday, 29 March. As a certified B Corp , we’re always looking for ways to support the local community and this match was no exception.

Here at Optimising IT, we’re always excited about attending local events and treating our staff to a day out away from the office. This game was a fantastic chance to support the local team and enjoy a jam-packed day of football at St James Park. Despite the final score not going our way, the energy in the stadium and the opportunity to bond as a team ensured it was a day to remember.

Matchday Highlights

From kick-off, the atmosphere at St James Park was one not to miss. Wrexham opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a long-range effort from Ollie Rathbone that wrong-footed the Exeter keeper. Wrexham then sealed the deal just before the hour mark with a penalty from Jay Rodriguez after he was fouled in the box. While it was a shame that Exeter ended up defeated, their fans brought the stadium to life and it was great for the Optimising IT team to be part of the action. Congratulations to Wrexham on their 2–0 victory!

A Special Moment on the Pitch

One of the standout moments of the day came before the match, when two members of the Optimising IT team, Emma and Paris, had the honour of heading out onto the pitch for an exclusive photo opportunity. This was a great opportunity to complement the sponsorship and seeing our team members representing Optimising IT on the pitch at such a high-profile match was a great way to end the day.
